Baptism at St. John's

What is the Sacrament of Baptism?

Baptism is the beginning of our faith and gateway into the Church—the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God, becoming members of Christ and sharers in the Church's mission.

“Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.” (CCC 1213)
